Welcome to our place! Here we muse, ramble and reflect. The Retroclectic style is the highlight of our senior high gallery. It's you in the uniquely eclectic photography styles from Mia Dolce Photography. These are not your average senior shots, they show you the many shades of your personality and highlight the real you.

We appreciate the funky findings of what we call retro-clectic.     Retroclectic rollin

    If a basketball player is a baller would that make someone who rollerskates a roller? I was just telling a friend of mine how much in love with roller skating I was as a child, and the other night when we were hanging out we ran into this store that sells the four-wheel kind. Can you say retro-clectic!!! They even had models rolling around in them, I took a quick snapshot with my point and shoot and thought how ironic is this that we were just talking about it. Crazy coincidence. We also saw retro-tees and silk-screened vests. Made me want to go to a roller-skating party for halloween rather than a regular fiesta.

    What is love? Is it that butterfly feeling in your stomach when you see that special person from across the room? Or is it something more like sitting through that aweful movie because you know how much it means to that other person and how they went on and on about it so you are just going to try and see what the fuss is about? Sigh…. anyhoo one thing is for sure we LOVE Marisa’s retroclectic tee! She is looking fresh in this T-shirt that looks like it had a personal touch. We are not sure though, and the love thing we are thinking it is more the ladder : )

      I love when people remember things that I have shared with them, it really makes me feel happy and special!

      My love language (s) are quality time and words of affirmation. However, God has taught me how to receive love in other languages as well. It’s soooo cool. Let me break down quality time - it’s spending time with someone I care about in a long car ride, watching a movie, someone sitting with me while I go throuh a difficult time, someone laughing with me, crying with me, being with me. The words of affirmation are words that reiterate me from soemone else’s heart. My friend Amber does it so eloquently - like the other day she told me I have Renee Zeilweger (mercy if I mispelled her last name) qualities - I don’t remember all the adjectives she used except for quirky. Now she wasn’t baggin on me, so quirky is cool. :) I agree. That’s waz up. :)

      i’m a gifts person. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money - something even handmade I will totally appreciate, as long as it is thoughtful and personal (like even a card, a picture, food :o) And I’ll keep that gift for a long time…even if it’s many years ago, I can still remember who gave it to me and when.

      My primary love languages are words of affirmation and quality time. I love heart-felt words that are written down so I can remember them forever; I still have cards and letters from years ago. When it comes to quality time, I don’t mind the chat, but silence is oftentimes golden for me. Spending time at a coffee shop, spontaneous road trips, going to a live concert with those who share similar tastes in music, being a spectator (and maybe a participant) in a jam session are all things I immensely enjoy.

      Quality time is definitely the most valuable love language to me. Time is so precious because it cannot be replaced and each moment is a unique.

    If eyes are the window to the soul than Erica’s soul must be pretty amazing! In putting together our fabulous look book for our senior high gallery I came across this shot. It really struck me and I thought it was an exquisite representation of retroclectic. Deciding which photos to use for this was kinda tricky but I am satisfied with the final selection in which this shot is also a part of!
